ANNOUNCEMENT ON NEW MYNIC ONLINE SYSTEM

We are pleased to announce that MYNIC will be migrating to a new online application system. With this new system, customers will be able carry out the following services online; .my domain name lookup, registering new domai n names, modification requests, deletion and transfer of domain names, as well as other services to be announced later.
The system will be made available to the public, for pre-launch trial purposes on 7 November 2000 at https://www1.mynic.net.my. We wish to stress that this website is purely for TESTING PURPOSES, in order to give customers an opportunity to try the new system. No applications will be processed via this new system during this time.
The system will be launched on 15 November 2000.
All applications submitted during the testing period will be removed from the database before the launch date.
Prior to 15 November 2000, please submit your applications via e-mail as per normal.
Migration of domain names
For domain names registered prior to 15 November 2000, we would advise you to migrate your domain name(s) to the new system by registering a userID and password for the Administrative Contact and Technical Contact with MYNIC.
The migration process of these domain names will commence on 15 November 2000 and is expected to end on 31 March 2001.
All modification, deletion and transfer applications under the new system, requires the usage of userID and passwords. Please refer to additional information on safeguarding your passwords.
